More Time, More Speed is an exploration of time and our relationship with it. The album was almost entirely self recorded in a converted farm building near Hull in East Yorkshire. The changing seasons and landscape around the make-shift studio weaving it’s way into the fabric of the album. The album artwork itself, a joyous snapshot captured above a rape seed field in full flower next to the studio.
The album was mixed by Paul Butler, frontman of English indie band The Bees. Now based in Los Angeles, Paul has produced albums for Michael Kiwanuka, Andrew Bird and The Teskey Brothers. Pavey Ark also worked with composer and producer Adrian McNally (The Unthanks) who led the live string quartet studio session and co-produced and mixed three songs on the new album.
